BRAINCAGE is a hard hitting energy boost that just keeps on giving more.  The members each have very different influences and these differences have combined to make a unique sound that seems to fuse old school punk base and guitar with a metal drumming style. 

Sean Rooney
Taking the lead singer and bass role in this three piece band is Sean.  He is lyrically influenced by Greg Graffin of Bad Religion and Jesse Michaels of Operation Ivy, and Musically influenced by Matt Freeman of Operation Ivy and Mike Watt of the Minutemen.

Sean is the primary lyricist and songwriter for the band. His lyrics tend to be inquisitive as to the nature and behavior of mankind.  He is intrigued by how people act and how they fall into recurring patterns of behavior.

At first glance, some see his lyrics as dark and almost sinister.  But the motivation behind the lyrics is more a wide-eyed and confused innocence observing and processing what is going on all around us every day.  With this, Sean's lyrics are not born of an inner darkness that should be feared.  They are a collage of social commentary that should be listened to and heeded as WTF is going on!

Jeremy Peterson

Guitarist and funny man, Jeremy's style is technical and clean.  He tends to hang back and bask in humility as he sets his strings to screaming.  When he does come forward for brief and fleeting solos, he pulls out all the stops and lets his fingers do the talking, lighting up the amp and sending out shock waves of sound. 

Jeremy's influences are from bands like Metallica, Pantera and The Adolescents. Look for intensity and energy in Jeremy's playing.  And watch out for the walrus!

Zebadiah Scibelli-Gotlieb

Zeb is the driving force behind the big sound the comes out of this band's music.  His death metal style drum beats and love of syncopation builds a solid platform for Sean's up and down bass lines and Jeremy's sadistic guitar melody.

Zeb is influenced by drummers Jimmy Kyle of Acid Bath, Joey Jordison of Slipknot and the many drummers of the band Death.
